Nea Onnim, No Sua A, Ohu
“He who does not know can know from learning.”
Our Afrikana Studies flagship collection honors those that have come before us and pave the way with their crafts, talents, intellect, skills and overall brilliance. Some names you may recognize, and others you may not, but we encourage you to take the time to read their stories and allow yourself to become inspired by their greatness. There is a great deal to be learned from the struggles and triumphs of those that made a way where many told them there could be none. Do not allow the learning to stop there. Grab a shirt, strike up a conversation. These stories need to be shared with others so that we may all continue to be inspired to achieve and even surpass the greatness of those before us.
Bese Saka
Bese Saka, literally, “sack of cola nuts,” is a symbol representing affluence and unity. Our Afrikonomy collection aspires to pay homage to the former economic powerhouses that were led by the principles of this traditional Adinkra symbol. It is our hope that the apparel in this collection will serve as an inspiration to all to reach higher and deeper for the economic and financial freedom that those before us fought to create and sustain.
